On the sidelines of the 5th African Vovinam Viet Vo Dao Championship, which is being held in the city of Ayigah in Ivory Coast, a workshop on refereeing for Vovinam was held under the supervision of the Chairman of the African Refereeing Committee, Associate Professor Youssef Choucha.
The workshop was attended by 22 referees from many African countries. The referees will be instructed and trained in the new techniques and rules needed to officiate important competitions in Vovinam.
The workshop was also attended by Mr. Mohamed Djoudj, President of the African Vovinam Federation, Apollinaire Odrago, Technical Director of the African Vovinam Federation, and international experts Mamadou Diop and Djibril Diori. These experts provided valuable insights into the rules of competition, as well as the importance of refereeing in promoting the spirit of competition and the exactly of Vovinam competitions.
This event is an important step towards ensuring that upcoming Vovinam tournaments in Africa will be conducted smoothly and successfully, contributing to improving the level of refereeing and ensuring the correct application of the general rules.
This event also reflects the commitment of the African Vovinam Federation to develop Vovinam Viet Vo Dao and enhance the capacity of referees across the continent.
