On the morning of October 11, 2025, at the Vovinam Việt Võ Đạo ancestral house located at 31 Sư Vạn Hạnh Street, Vườn Lài Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, the solemn 15th memorial ceremony for the late Grandmaster Lê Sáng (1920–2010) was held.

Grandmaster Lê Sáng devoted his entire life to developing the technical system, the philosophical principles, and the organizational structure of Vovinam, even through the most challenging periods. After the passing of Founder Nguyễn Lộc in 1960, he took on the great responsibility of preserving and expanding the discipline.

The ceremony took place in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, attended by the Council of Masters, senior instructors, disciples, and numerous students from dojos both in Vietnam and abroad. The ceremony began with incense and flower offerings at the ancestral altar, followed by a reading of the Grandmaster’s biography and a remembrance of his immense contributions to the discipline. Afterwards, disciples and students paid their respects, exchanged memories, and shared reflections on their martial arts journeys and personal lives.

The memorial ceremony was not only a time to honor and remember the late Grandmaster Lê Sáng but also an occasion for younger generations of practitioners to look back on tradition, cultivate loyalty, preserve the martial spirit, and continue the legacy that Grandmaster Lê Sáng dedicated his life to building. True to his philosophy, “Live so that others may live, and live for others,” his teachings continue to resonate deeply in the hearts of every Vovinam student today.
