From a childhood love for teaching, Trần Ngô Kim Hảo, a third-year student majoring in Primary Education at Phu Yen University, has gradually built a brilliant academic journey. Kim Hảo currently serves as the Vice President of the university’s Student Association and has achieved outstanding results both academically and in Vovinam competitions.
Grown from the Youth Union and Student Association Environment
Born and raised in Tuy An, Phu Yen, Kim Hảo had a deep love for teaching from a young age, often playing the “teacher-student” game with neighborhood friends. “Every time I get to guide and share knowledge with others, I feel a very special joy,” Hảo shared.
Her dream of becoming a primary school teacher gradually grew—not only because of her admiration for teachers but also due to her desire to help shape the early steps of children’s lives. She boldly applied to the Primary Education program at Phu Yen University, bringing with her many hopes and aspirations.
Kim Hảo is confident in her career choice in education.
Overcoming initial unfamiliarity with university life, she has consistently maintained excellent academic performance thanks to effective time management, detailed planning, and proactive engagement in all activities. To her, “studying is the foundation, while the Youth Union and Student Association are ideal environments for developing skills, building confidence, and spreading positive energy to the community.”
A Great Passion for Martial Arts
In addition to her studies, Kim Hảo has a strong interest in sports—especially martial arts. She began practicing Vovinam in fifth grade and continued training at the Vovinam Viet Vo Dao Club at Phu Yen University when she entered college. There, she received support and guidance from Mr. Nguyễn Huy Vũ—Lecturer in the Faculty of Physical and National Defense Education and Head of the Vovinam Viet Vo Dao Club.
Kim Hảo always gives her all in Vovinam training and competitions.
She has won a Gold Medal in the Long Ho Quyen Team Form at the Phu Yen Provincial Vovinam Championships in 2024; a Bronze Medal in the 54kg Female Weight Category – Group 3 (ages 19–35) at the 2nd Central Highlands and Central Vietnam Vovinam Championships in 2024; and a Silver Medal in the Female Long Ho Quyen Team Form – Group 2–3 (ages 16–35) at the same tournament. “These are not only the results of hard work and determination but also motivation for me to keep striving—not just on the mat but also in my studies and extracurricular activities,” she said.
Aspirations to Contribute to the Community
As a student on the journey to maturity, Kim Hảo always believes: “Each day is an opportunity to learn, contribute, and improve oneself.” She not only strives for academic excellence but also actively participates in Youth Union and Association activities to build life skills, expand relationships, and spread positive values to the community. “Additionally, sports—especially Vovinam—help me train my willpower, perseverance, and fighting spirit to overcome difficulties.”
Kim Hảo was one of the national delegates of “Outstanding Youth Following Uncle Ho’s Teachings” in 2025.
“Every medal is a memorable milestone, but more importantly, it’s proof of my relentless effort,” Hảo affirmed.
In the coming academic year, Kim Hảo aims to enhance her learning capacity, improve her personal skills, and continue contributing to student movements at both her university and provincial levels. She believes that a well-rounded student is not necessarily the best in any single area, but one who constantly strives, learns, and lives with ideals. “I hope that every step I take today will become a solid foundation for a stronger and more meaningful future,” Hảo expressed.
