On the morning of June 7, 2025, during a special visit to Ho Chi Minh City, a delegation of business leaders from YPO Pan Greater Bay Area—a prestigious network of top global executives—was warmly received by Mr. Mai Huu Tin, President of the World Vovinam Federation, President of the Vietnam Vovinam Federation, and a senior member of YPO.

More than just a networking event, the visit offered a profound cultural experience, where leaders from diverse backgrounds were introduced to the depth of Vietnamese spirit through Vovinam Viet Vo Dao, the nation’s traditional martial art.

Under the theme “Resilience – Strength Through Adversity”, Vovinam was chosen as a powerful and symbolic expression of Vietnamese values.

Vovinam, founded by Vietnamese martial artists, is not only a physical discipline but also a cultural heritage that encapsulates:

  • The will to overcome adversity,

  • Inner strength, discipline, and resilience—qualities essential for leadership in today’s dynamic world,

  • And a source of national pride that is gradually making its mark on the global stage.

During the exchange, Mr. Mai Huu Tin shared:

“In Vovinam, each belt color represents a stage of personal development—from the blue belt of aspiration, the yellow of our skin, the red of courage deeply rooted in our being, to the white belt of enlightenment, where the martial spirit becomes second nature. These are not just rankings, but a journey of self-mastery and philosophy—a path that any leader can relate to and draw strength from.”

The YPO delegation enjoyed a series of technically skilled and emotionally resonant performances by the Ho Chi Minh City Vovinam Team. They listened to inspiring stories from experienced martial artists and participated in basic training sessions—where they did not merely learn martial techniques, but also connected with the essence of Vietnamese martial philosophy.

This experience left a deep impression on the international guests and helped to amplify the message of Vovinam: Vietnamese martial arts are more than physical skills—they are a cultural identity, a way for Vietnamese values to reach and resonate with the world.

These meaningful exchanges continue to foster mutual understanding, cultural appreciation, and friendship between Vietnam and the global business community—through the spirit and philosophy of Vovinam Viet Vo Dao.
